DSS PASS - Frequently Asked Questions



How do I know if I can create an account?

  • This website is available to clients that have CalFresh, CalWORKs, Medi-Cal, or General Relief programs that are approved, pending, or have been discontinued or denied within the past 90 days
  • If your case has been determined to be employee related you will not be able to create an account
  • When creating an account the information of the primary applicant (case payee) must be used

How do I find my Case Number?

  • Documents
    • Any Department of Social Services correspondence
  • EBT Card
    • Your case number is the last 7 digits located on the front of your EBT card

How do I reset my password?

  • Click on the Login button
  • Under the Password field click on Forgot Password
  • In the Forgot Password page enter the e-mail used to create account and click Submit
  • You will receive an e-mail instruction you how to reset your password


How do I change my associated email?

  • Click on the Menu button and select Account Settings from the available options
  • Update your e-mail in the Email/Username field and click the Save button

How do I access my account if I am locked out?

  • After 6 failed attempts you will be locked out for 15 minutes
  • After 15 minutes you will be able to login again

How do I change the language?

  • Click Select Language at the top right hand corner of the page

How do I change my password when logged in?

  • Click on the Menu button and select Account Settings from the available options
  • In the Account Settings page click the Change Password button

How do I report discrepant information/if my information is incorrect what do I do?

  • Login to your account
  • Click on the Menu button and select My Case from the available options
  • Below the Case Information section click the Click Here button
  • You will be navigated to the incorrect information page where you will select the category of the information and enter in the correct information

How long will it take for uploaded documents to be reviewed by a worker?

  • Please allow up to 72 hours for your document to be uploaded and viewable by a worker

How long before case updates are shown on the DSS PASS website?

  • Any updates made to a case may take between 24 and 72 hours to be viewable on this site
